IT MUST BE SO EASY

One thing we often hear is “Its easy for you to eat healthy, all trainers eat is chicken breast and broccoli.” This couldn’t be farther from the truth! If your trainer tells you they only eat chicken breast and broccoli, FIRE THEM, because they are either lying to you, or are a robot that doesn’t live a realistic life. We all like food, and unfortunately our bodies are wired to enjoy many of the foods that are bad for us. However, that doesn’t mean that eating healthy has to be boring! In fact, it can be fun! But like everything else, eating healthy takes hard work and dedication. Here are a few tips to help you stay on track.

1- DISCARD THE JUNK! Get rid of the junk and boxed food in the house. If you insist on having something sweet in the house for that occasional craving, make sure its small and only a few bites. Don’t keep an entire carton of ice cream in the freezer, because if you’re anything like me, that carton will be gone in one or two sittings.

2- TRY NEW FOODS! Go online and research some new recipes. Try one new healthy recipe a week. You will be amazed at how quickly these recipes add up and how your cook book will now be full of healthy recipes.

3- Take time to cook! Just like scheduling your workouts, schedule time to cook. And if you have a family, cook together! This can become a fun activity that the whole family can enjoy.

4- AVOID FAST FOOD! Just say no and keep driving!
